Pastoral Outreach

New BeFrienders: We are planning a training for new BeFrienders starting in early September. If you or someone you know are interested in becoming part of this outreach ministry, please call Leann Kaufenberg for more information and an application by the 31st of July. 651-379-1266.

Current BeFrienders: We will be having our annual BeFriender barbecue on Monday, August 7th, at Bealka’s home. An invitation has been mailed with all the details.

Also please remember to sign up for an appointment to meet with me this summer. The sign up sheet is on the bulletin board near the parish office stairs. If you need to set up a specific date and time, call me and we will find a suitable time. Hope that your summer is going well. Thanks for all you do in this special ministry.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY Thank you to all who are part of our "Prayer Shawl" ministry here at St. Mary's. Since this ministry began 18 months ago, 14 prayer shawls have been made and 11 of them have been distributed to people in need. Every person who has received one has been deeply moved by the idea that someone they don't even know has knitted or crocheted them a prayer shawl filled with prayers for their returning health. This has been very powerful for them, and for the creators of the prayer shawls. If you knit or crochet and are interested in joining this ministry, please call Ann Newlander in the office, 439-1270.
